PDR Electrical Engineers install Electrical Power Distribution installations from 11KV Switchgear, 11KV Cabling, Sub-Station Transformers, LV Switchboards, Mains Cabling, MCCB Power Distribution Boards and MCB Distribution Boards.

High Voltage and Low Voltage Cabling

HV & LV Cabling is undertaken with the benefit of a comprehensive range of specialist owned plant and equipment. The use of this equipment ensures that Power Cables are safely installed without damage to the cabling or installation.

The specialist Power Cabling installation equipment includes:

Cable Drum Trailers
Cable Winches – including both engine and electric motor drives, with a winching capacity of 5000Kg complete with load indication and overload protection
Heavy Duty Cable Drum Stands and Jacks

Lifting Equipment including A-Frames and Fork Lift Trucks
CAT Mini Digger
Cable Locating Equipment.

Cable Containment

At the initial stage of the Electrical Installation contract a Cable Containment Route is designed, agreed with the client and installed in a safe practical manner.

PDR Electrical Engineers install Cable Ladder, Cable tray, Cable Basket, and Cable Trunking.

The designed cable containment is installed onto the building fabric using either proprietary brackets or if required bespoke bracket work.

To enable the efficient installation of cable containment bracket work is prepared, manufactured and pre-assembled off site. This offsite manufacture also reduces Health and Safety risks on site and also reduces on site storage requirements.

High Voltage and Low Voltage Cable Jointing and Terminations

PDR Electrical Engineers undertake Cable Jointing and Termination of Power Cables. Ranging from 11KV – XLPE, TRIPLEX and PILC cable through to Low Voltage SWA, Single and Multicore Cables.

PDR Electrical Engineers own Hydraulic Cable Crimping tooling for Power Cables up to a cross sectional area of 1000mm sq.
